VD Global Collaborates with ORIGINALLUXURY to Discuss Traceability in the Luxury Sector

Reflecting upon the insightful Roundtable hosted by ORIGINALLUXURY, it is clear that our industry is making meaningful strides towards transparency and traceability within the luxury sector. The day was replete with enriching conversations and shared knowledge from an array of stakeholders hailing from diverse sectors including diamonds, watches, jewellery, gold, textiles, blockchain technology, and perfumery.

This collaborative approach to problem-solving and the adoption of best practices are indeed the keys to enhancing traceability and transparency in our luxury industry, ensuring we continue to deliver products of uncompromising quality that are ethical, sustainable and traceable.

Three prestigious Swiss academic institutions – E4S, UNIL-HEC, and IMD – co-lead ORIGINALLUXURY. They collaborate with the Swiss Center for Luxury Research and OriginAll. Margot and her co-founder, Hans Schwab, are experts in product traceability. They empower consumers to make informed and safe product choices. ORIGINALLUXURY promotes transparency, innovation, and responsibility in the luxury sector. It achieves this through cutting-edge technology. More than 50 luxury brands and suppliers, along with 16 technology providers, participate in ORIGINALLUXURY. It has quickly grown into a dynamic network for learning, research, and industry collaboration. The initiative regularly hosts impactful events.
